Summary

This article describes a nine day trek covering in excess of 100 miles in the Himalayas, reaching Mount Annapurna Base Camp (15,000 ft), undertaken by members of the ship’s company of HMS Swift and myself during an Adventurous Training period. The expedition title, “Chhito Ra Pakka”, derived from the ship’s motto “Swift and Sure”, proved to be an apt choice.
