Abstract

A review based on the Ruscoe Clarke Memorial Lecture, 6 May, 1976, this paper covers the contributions of the Armed Services to the rescue, resuscitation, evacuation, surgical treatment and rehabilitation of the injured, allied to a programme of research into accident prevention and casualty management.
